PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

OrganicValley_pasture_butter

Organic Valley has gone out to pasture, focusing on the food cows most love to eat: grass.

Presenting Grassmilk™ Raw Cheddar: unique, artisanal raw milk cheeses made from organic milk produced from cows that are 100% grass-fed. Grassmilk Raw Cheddar is a limited edition specialty cheese to celebrate Organic Valley’s 25th anniversary—25 years of cultivating goodness and commitment to Organic. Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Cheddar is handcrafted and aged in small batches to retain the layers of Grassmilk’s flavor. It comes in eight-ounce wedges in two varieties: Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Cheddar and Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Sharp Cheddar.

Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Cheddar is a mild, balanced cheddar with hints of pasture and butter. Aged a minimum of 60 days, it has a smooth texture and a slightly earthy taste. It’s a highly versatile cheese that is delicious served as a snack with Granny Smith apples and rustic crackers, and paired with cider or a light-bodied white wine.

Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Sharp Cheddar is a stronger, more complex cheddar that is tangy with a buttery finish. Aged a minimum of 8 months, it has a more granular texture and stands up to horseradish, toasted nuts and mustard, and also great as a dessert cheese. The Raw Sharp Cheddar and goes well with stout or ale, as well as buttery chardonnay or even an apple brandy.

Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Cheddar has an SRP of $8.39 and Raw Sharp Cheddar has an SRP of $8.89. Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Cheddar Cheese will be available in natural food stores, food cooperatives, and major grocery chains in April 2013.

Organic Valley will also be sampling its award-winning Pasture Butter, a cultured and lightly salted butter with 84% percent butter fat. Its high fat content makes it perfect at the table or in recipes. Organic Valley Pasture Butter is seasonally produced in small batches at the height of pasture season, providing higher levels of vitamins, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and balanced omega-3 and omega-6 fats. Produced without antibiotics, or synthetic hormones and pesticides. Organic Valley Pasture Butter is available in 8-oz foil packages as well as 1-lb quarters in some stores.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

American Cheese Singles: organic, unprocessed real cheese–NOT processed “cheese food”!

Organic Valley, the nation’s largest cooperative of organic farmers and a leading organic brand, launches Organic Valley American Cheese Singles—unprocessed, 100 percent real organic cheese slices, as opposed to “processed cheese food,” perfect for grilled cheese sandwiches, lunches and snacks. Organic Valley is the only national brand to produce unprocessed, organic American Cheese Singles.

Whether classically grilled, paired with other sandwich fillings, or simply folded over for a bite on the go, American families love American Cheese. Processed American Cheese slices are by far America’s most purchased cheese category. According to a 2011 Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Cheese Consumption Data, the “American Single Slice” is the number one selling cheese SKU in the U.S., with more than 300 million pounds of individually wrapped American Pasteurized Processed Cheese Food sold in 2010. Two-thirds of consumers eating sliced cheese are eating American cheese, and naturally, households with children are significantly more likely to buy individually wrapped cheese.

Organic Valley American Singles are mild, smooth-melting, delicious yellow cheese slices made from the same ingredients as all Organic Valley cheese: gluten-free and produced without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, toxic pesticides or GMOs from the dedicated farmer-owners of Organic Valley. Organic Valley American Singles are real cheese pre-sliced right off a block of mild, high-moisture organic Colby-style cheese, neatly divided with slips of earth-friendly parchment to prevent sticking, and ready to go in an eight-ounce package.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Organic Valley is expanding its line of top-selling organic half-and-half with the addition of French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavored dairy creamers. For soy lovers, Organic Valley is also introducing a new line of organically certified Soy Creamers, available in Original and Vanilla flavors – the only certified organic soy creamer available on the market.

Like Organic Valley’s original half-and-half, the two new flavored dairy creamers deliver a rich combination of organic cream and whole milk, which comes from pastured cows on family farms, produced without the use of antibiotics, synthetic hormones or pesticides.  With immense care and culinary attention, the flavored creamers are made with organic hazelnut and organic, Fair Trade vanilla, and sweetened with only Fair Trade unrefined sugar.  The organic soy milk used to blend the new non-dairy creamers is produced from soybeans grown in the Midwest, by Organic Valley’s family of organic soy farmers. Coffee lovers can sip confidently knowing that all Organic Valley creamers – dairy and non-dairy – are completely free of artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and hydrogenated oils.

A splash of Organic Valley Hazelnut creamer, made with certified organic hazelnut extract, delivers a subtle earthy essence of toasted hazelnut. A rich and subtly sweet cloud of flavor glides onto the taste buds with each sip of coffee or tea swirled with Organic Valley’s Vanilla creamer, available in dairy and soy varieties.

Organic Valley’s creamers can also be used in other breakfast treats, such as atop oatmeal or in French toast, as well as in baking and any other application for which sweet cream is called.

Pints of Organic Valley’s new flavored creamers will be available in Whole Foods Markets’ dairy case beginning in February, 2011, and in grocers and natural food co-ops nationwide in March. (MSRP $2.99, 16 oz.)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Nothing Better than Butter! Top chefs endorse award-winning Organic Valley butter as elegant, luscious and high-performing, with multiple uses and applications from the fussiest of French sauces and classic pastries, to serving suggestions as simple as herbed butter over succulent vegetables.
European Style Cultured Butter, 8oz, is an unsalted, specialty butter made in the age-old tradition of fine European butters. It has an exquisitely tart flavor and is 84 percent butterfat, perfect for flaky pastry. Organic Valley starts with organic milk from cows allowed to pasture freely, then adds a live culture to ripen the cream and bring out the sweetness of the butter. Upon reaching perfection in the culture tanks, the cream is churned in small batches for a longer time than other butters, lowering the moisture content and increasing the butterfat. European Style Culture Butter won first place in its category at the 2009 American Cheese Society Annual Judging & Competition.

Pasture Butter, 8oz, is a limited edition, lightly salted, rich butter made from the milk of organic cows that enjoy grazing on nutrient-rich green pastures at the height of grazing season from May through September. Pasture Butter provides higher levels of antioxidants, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and Omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, which, according to the Healing Foods Pyramid from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, can help reduce inflammation and shows promise in reducing the risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer. Pasture Butter placed third in its category at both the 2009 American Cheese Society Annual Judging & Competition and the 2009 World Dairy Expo.

Pour It, Drink It, Blend It: Live Organic Yogurt, 32 oz

Each batch is tasted for the proper flavor and desired consistency. ALL our cheeses are certified organic and made with milk produced without antibiotics, synthetic hormones or persistent synthetic pesticides.

Pepper Jack, 8oz, earned a blue ribbon in the 2009 American Cheese Society Awards. Our organic Monterey Jack is coupled with organic jalapeno peppers for the spicy taste Pepper Jack-lovers crave and is outstanding in Mexican cooking or just as a snack with crackers. This Pepper Jack is sure to awaken your taste buds!
